Uk Theatre Equity Sub Rep Agreement

The conditions set out in this agreement are the minimum conditions for musicians working in theatres in a part of the United Kingdom run by members of the UK Theatre or whose production director responsible for making the orchestra available is a member of the UK Theatre. Members or their representatives and lawyers may negotiate individual terms of employment as long as these conditions are not covered by the minimum requirements of Equity`s current collective agreement. This latest updated agreement came into force in April 2017 (updated in January 2019) The UKT-MU agreement is available in PDF format and includes: Performer, Understudies and Stage Management for commercial theatre productions. There is a separate agreement for work in the West End (www.solt.co.uk). Share contracts for individual members generally cover positions in three categories: Principal, Chorus and Stage Manager. The main contract is used for all the main actors and most of the stage directors. The choir contract is used for actors who mainly do choral work. Each employment contract is referred to a specific collective agreement and contains all its conditions. This agreement applies to interpreters, sub-studies and stage management employed by managers funded by Arts Council England, Arts Council of Wales, Creative Scotland or the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. There is a separate agreement for work in the West End (www.solt.co.uk). This agreement excludes all musicians working under agreements between MU and opera and dance companies as well as in London`s West End, which is in accordance with the terms of the SOLT/MU agreement. January 2018 WELSH.pdfTAC Equity Walk-on Agreement 2018 FRANKFURT.pdf We are responsible for negotiating and implementing a series of collective agreements with Equity, BECTU and The Musicians` Union. These agreements define the minimum wage, the industry conditions for the engagement of actors, the management of the stage, creators, technicians and musicians. From Broadway to dinner theater, Equity has a contract to cover professional theater, big and small, wherever it might occur in the United States. Equity negotiates and manages national and regional collective agreements with several employers, as well as agreements with an employer with theatre employers. These agreements provide for minimum wages, benefits, job security and many other provisions to ensure safe working conditions and a working environment in which actors and directors-general are protected. Our role is to represent the complex and different needs of our members in negotiations with these unions. For more information on individual chords, click on the icons below. Current rates of pay can be find here.

PLEASE NOTE: Under the UK Theatre/Equity Commercial Theatre COVID-19 Variation Agreement, rates will be frozen for the period 2019/2020 until April 2022, with the exception of touring allowance and livelihoods. You should always submit a copy of your employment contract to Equity, at the latest with the first sample. Many departments depend on your employment contract, including bonding, membership and pension and health funds. This is a violation of Equity`s affiliation rules when a member accepts a job within the jurisdiction of Equity, without the corresponding equity contract being covered.
